Total Oral Health, Beautiful Results: Smile Design by Nashville Dentist, Kent E. White

video

Achieving comprehensive oral health and creating successful smile makeover designs requires time, patience and, most of all, covering all the bases. By focusing on a new era of diagnosis, computerized diagnostic tools and magnification as well as maintaining a high-level of training makes it possible to improve how people feel about their teeth, oral comfort and dentistry in general.

Predictable, consistent results allow Dr. White's patients to experience the confidence of a new smile, and others also get relief from decades of pain.

Whether seeking restorative and cosmetic dentistry enhancements or relief from specific pain issues, preliminary evaluations in the neuromuscular approach are followed to create a successful smile makeover, which means long term comfort and esthetic results.

As Dr. Kent E. White of Nashville explains, "It is important to treat the whole patient not just their teeth. This is not one-tooth-at-time, erratic patchwork dentistry; neuromuscular dentistry with full mouth treatment is planned, enduring success, which includes a beautiful, natural smile."

Is It Good That Silver Dental Amalgam Fillings Often Outlast Natural Teeth?

video

Nashville area dentist, Dr. Kent E. White approaches dentistry comprehensively. Wherever a patient is able to start from on their dental care, he can move ahead at that point.

Dentistry is most expensive when smile health is delayed. It's not possible to x-ray through silver-mercury dental fillings - so dentists are not able to see the decay, disease, etc - underneath.

Plus the bigger metal fillings are more likely to crack or in some cases also split apart. One vital idea to remember, pain is often the last thing to notify you that something is wrong.

Advanced Dentistry In Nashville by Dr. Kent E. White

Kent E. White, DDS • Center for Advanced Dentistry

Consumers in Nashville are looking for something new, but also comprehensive with the potential to achieve their dental health goals whatever they may be. Dr. Kent E. White provides a level of dental care where every person looking for something better can find a home.

Dental Services Description: Trained in advanced preventive, restorative, and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. White's practice in Nashville offers a complete array of services, from the purely cosmetic to the critically restorative.

What interests Dr. Kent White the most, perhaps, is the idea of giving his patients the best of both worlds-a healthy and beautiful smile that not only prevents pain and decay, but also gives his patients confidence in their smile.

Dr. White has been in constant pursuit of the highest quality of care for his patients. By training at this pace and level, he is able to offer his patients a wide variety of high value services. With his artistic flair, skilled care and long-term perspective, perfection is the only result he strives for. His expertise in aesthetic enhancement, restorative care, neuromuscular dentistry and laser treatment translates into comprehensive, long lasting and natural-looking solutions for his patients.

His kind of expertise is very unique. It’s an approach that looks at other causes for neuromuscular pain and prevention of pain before focusing all the attention on teeth. Neuromuscular dentistry isn’t brand new, but the diagnostic technology has finally caught up with treatment.

As an Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology member, Dr. Kent White is interested in therapies that promote healing and health. Patients should have options that don’t create other health concerns.

It’s easy to prescribe the same medicines and remedies that dentistry has used for ages. Dr. White refuses to take that road. Silver/mercury fillings are controversial because some people believe the mercury causes toxic reactions.

Whether this can be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt doesn’t concern Dr. Kent White. He knows there are newer, healthier therapies to use instead of silver/mercury dental fillings.

Therefore, patients no longer need to worry about the possible effects of this commonly used dental substance.

The Picture of Dental Health: How About 5 Times That Plus!

Today, things should be better! The overall economy. Home prices. Health insurance...

While there are many things we can't control, what about those areas we could change? Like something we would change if we discovered a better way forward, a different approach, a valuable advancement...

Presenting pictures of how some of Dr. Kent E. White's patients have moved forward with their dental care is very helpful to many people. Yet, besides these pictures, the happiness, and confidence depicted and the oral health highlighted, each one has an individual story.

However, many of Dr. White's patients merely want more from their dentistry, not just what others usually get, history provided them or insurance suggests they need, maybe even all they deserve.
  • What do you think of dental care today?
  • Have you decided to avoid going to the dentist because of the ongoing cost, visit anxiety or how dentists 'treat' you?
  • Does the dentistry you think of today, still remind you of the dentistry you received 20 or more years ago?
No matter what your current circumstances are, there is a time that is right for you to move forward with the dental health you deserve. There is no pressure. Rushing you forward would be counterproductive. Dr. Kent White's dental team is prepared for you to decide on your care.

'

As dentists providing advanced dentistry, Dr. White understands no one can be pushed into a decision that provides such a remarkable change in their overall personality. To rush you into such dental treatment, would not make possible the impressive value you see presented in this blog post.

Additionally, and more vital to everyone's oral health, most of Dr. Kent White's patients come in exclusively for the comprehensive preventative care we provide. Advanced dentistry would not be advanced if it was merely 'cosmetic' dentistry. A term that is less helpful than the visual value it achieves.

Cosmetic is not really what Dr. White's about, and never has been. Because it was 'simple' to understand cosmetic was heavily promoted during the early development of natural looking restorations and treatments like veneers, and porcelain crowns.

Of course, Google encouraged the usage of the search term 'cosmetic dentistry' to such an extent it is difficult to not use this superficial term in some way. Otherwise, dentists would never have gotten out the message out about the initial advancements in dentistry that were concerned with more than cavities, fillings and fixing broken teeth.

That said, Dr. Kent E. White, has for many years, been using the more comprehensive term of advanced dentistry, along with his additional expertise in Neuromuscular dentistry. The next step in his transition to even more advanced dentistry is to use the term biomimetic.

Since we are living longer, we want to keep our teeth even longer. To keep most of our teeth a lifetime, even all of them, which is more possible than many people think, we have to detect disease earlier on.

Then we must realize, long term results require some element of long term thinking, an expectation of value, a realistic investment and a proper approach to achieve these goals, and protect them long term.

Biomimetics provides two basic and complementary perspectives. An open outlook to accept all the 'proven' advances, as well as focused attention on those dental health discoveries, developed from confirmed experience, which we don't want to unlearn.

Biomimetic dentistry is our way forward at this moment in the progression of 'advanced' dental care.

Not everyone will want to proceed in this way, but it does present obvious benefits. Seeing may not be believing for you; but these pictures offer a preview of what it looks like to take an advanced step toward complete oral health with external and internal happiness as a bonus.

Wherever you are at in the continuum of oral health, Dr. Kent White, and his dental team can start there, and move forward until reaching the goal you have determined. Knowing what is out there is the first step.

Your call is the next one. CALL (615) • 208-9687

We hope to hear from you soon. Then picture yourself more confident, no matter what you decide about your care.

Comprehensive Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry

Dr. Kent E. White’s expertise in aesthetic enhancement, restorative care, neuromuscular dentistry, biomimetics and laser treatment translates into comprehensive, long lasting and natural-looking solutions for his patients.

He is constantly in pursuit of the highest quality of care for his patients.

After Smile
Because people are much more health conscious and aware of how their smile can impact their confidence, Dr. White’s abilities fill an area of dentistry currently not comprehensively implemented or achieved very consistently. He has pioneered the use of metal-free ceramics and porcelain for crowns and veneers and resin restorative procedures instead of silver/mercury fillings.

As an instructor at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute, he was also able to share his expertise in creating beautiful new smiles. While at the LVI, he taught and mentored the top dentists in the world in the science and art of aesthetic dentistry. Currently, about one percent of dentists pursues this level of training.

In Nashville and other communities he is still teaching dentists the value of conservative, metal-free dentistry, and how to rehabilitate a smile and straighten teeth using non-orthodontic alignment. Finally, he uses his background in neuromuscular dentistry to offer you proper balance for pain free function.

Before
Includes Restorative/Reconstructive Dentistry
“Our goal is to restore teeth back to their original health, strength and beauty in the most conservative manner possible,” explains Dr. White. “We’re finding that, given the choice, most people would prefer to have the new dental materials and preserve healthy tooth structure rather than what is currently being taught in dental schools around the country.”

Dr. White has a high level of proficiency in reconstructive dentistry. He was one of the first dentists in North America to complete Full Mouth Reconstructive Training at the World’s Premier Post-Graduate teaching center. At the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies he undertook intensive hands-on training. He learned the latest principles of proper function.

After Smile

Given that training and his constant quest for better solutions, he is able to provide valuable treatments that give the patient many benefits including increased function, relief from years of pain, prevention of future discomfort and achievement of longer-term health.

In combination with his understanding of neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. White has transformed his practice into a place for healing, happiness and health.

Plus Neuromuscular Dentistry

This kind of expertise is unique. It’s an approach that looks at other causes for neuromuscular pain and prevention of pain before focusing all the attention on teeth. Neuromuscular dentistry isn’t brand new, but the diagnostic technology has caught up to the treatment.

If the muscles of your face and jaw are not in correct balance it can affect many other muscles of your head, neck, shoulders and back. Dr. White is able to determine your proper resting posture and then provide treatments that give you pain free results.

Dr. Kent White's Dental Bio, Health Approach Highlights

“Staying informed and constantly training means providing patients the best care available.”
Dr. Kent E. White • Center for Advanced Dentistry

Nashville Dentist,
Kent White
Caring Expertise
By training at this pace and level, Dr. Kent White is able to offer patients a wide variety of high value services. His skilled care, long-term perspective and artistic flair result in achieving what each patient deserves, which is his only goal.

Comprehensive Foundation & Unique Expertise
Dr. White has been a Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies Senior Instructor – a position achieved through his aesthetic, reconstructive and neuromuscular dentistry expertise.

In 1999, he became a Neuromuscular Dentistry instructor at LVI – the youngest dentist to attain that status.

In 1995, he completed a yearlong elective hospital and implant residency program at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. He practiced as a clinical chemist for a year and a half, after receiving his BS in Chemistry from MTSU. Then he went on to receive his DDS from UT, Memphis School of Dentistry.

Advanced Oral Health & Enhanced Smile Confidence

Biomimetics
A significant ‘wedge’ issue in cracking teeth and hiding disease, is the metal of traditional dentistry. In contrast, Dr. White expertly utilizes all the advanced, healthy techniques including bonding and natural-looking solutions. This treatment ‘seals out’ biological, and prevents, structural failure: the reason for the most serious dental problems people face today.

Neuromuscular
Dr. White has unique expertise in this approach, which looks at other causes for neuromuscular pain and prevention of pain, before focusing all the attention on teeth. While neuromuscular dentistry is not new, the diagnostic technology has finally caught up with the treatment. When face and jaw muscles are not in correct balance, it affects the muscles of the head, neck, shoulders and back. Determining the proper resting posture achieves pain free results, bringing harmony to oral muscles and health, beauty and patient’s lives.

Restorative & Reconstructive
“Our goal is to restore teeth back to their original health, strength and beauty in the most conservative manner possible,” explains Dr. White. “We’re finding that, given the choice, most people would prefer this type of care rather than what is currently being taught in most dental schools.” He was one of the first dentists in North America to undertake the intensive hands-on training involved in the Full Mouth Reconstructive Training at LVI, the World’s Premier Post-Graduate teaching center.

Aesthetics
Dr. White’s expertise provides a comprehensive platform in improving smile confidence by focusing on long-term health and natural-looking beauty. Success is achieved with a high level proficiency in both ‘cosmetic’ and reconstructive dentistry. He pioneered the use of metal-free ceramics and porcelain for crowns and veneers and resin restorative procedures instead of metal fillings.

Alternative
As a member of the Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, Dr. White is very interested in therapies that promote healing and health. He believes patients should have options that don’t create other health concerns. For those who worry about silver/mercury fillings, Dr. White only uses newer, healthier therapies. This philosophy guides his treatment in every way from home care to ongoing professional care.
